Limit Break

When his HP drops to the yellow, Zell can use his limit break, Duel. When activated, the player is given a timer and the option for attacks. Each attack has its own set of buttons to press in order to use it, and will be followed up by another selection of attacks. If these attacks are done in certain patterns, Zell's ending move will be activated when you input the pattern for it. Patterns can be repeated, so wait until the timer is low before using his ending moves.


Zell begins the game with four basic attacks and one ending move - two basic attacks and three ending moves can be learned from the Combat King magazines found across the FF8 world. Below is a list of his attacks, the button patterns for them, where the moves are found, and where the magazine the moves can be learned from are located.
